Driving back from West Sussex yesterday morning, with the ravishing colours of autumn still clearly visible, it is hard to believe that in 2 days time we enter the festive 'Month of December', with Christmas shortly upon us and 2013 coming to an end. This is a time to rejoice with family and friends.

Kuba has also created a delectable 'Tasting Menu' to see out the old and welcome in the New Year. Three Times Lucky
It is however, for another reason I am writing this newsletter.
On Wednesday night we were invited to the “Beautiful South Awards For Excellence“ ceremony, which took place in West Sussex.
The evening started very well for us as Carl Morgan’s hard work and dedication was recognised and he proudly received his Highly Commended Award for “Outstanding Customer Service”.
Well done Carl!
A great event and we admired the trophy on our table, but low and behold as the evening progressed, The Feathered Nest was asked to come forward once again! This time it was my turn together with Kuba Winkowski to go up on stage and receive the Gold Award for “Flavour Of The South East”. A testament to the cooking from Kuba - Well Done!
Proudly content with two trophies on our table and enjoying our wine, we thought that it could not get any better. Well that was about to change as The Feathered Nest was asked to come forward once again!
It gives me great joy to be able to share with you that for the 2nd year running, The Feathered Nest has had the prestigious Gold Award for “Pub Of The Year” bestowed upon it once again.
Now with three trophies on the table, I did order a bottle of champagne to celebrate and this went on into the early hours of the morning. Oh what a night!
Again, none of this would have been possible without your support and the hard work from all our staff.
